Remove Packard Bell Battery

Remove the Packard Bell battery from the laptop before starting the replacement.

Remove the screwcovers covering all the screws. Keep these covers safely.

Use a precision screwdriver to remove all screw in the laptop screen bezel.

Put fingers between the plastic bezel and the Packard Bell laptop screen and pull the bezel on all sides to release it from the catches. Do this carefully to avoid snapping the screen bezel.

At the hinges area pull the put your fingers in the little space between the screen and the plastic bezel and this time pull upwards to remove the bezel totally. Use firm grip but do not pull too hard.

At the top two sides of the internal part unscrew the screws holding the side arms to the screen cover.

At the very top part of Packard Bell laptop screen disconnect the cable to the camera and remember to reconnect when fitting a new screen.

Remove all side screws and keep them safely. The trick is to move the screen slight towards you before unscrewing.

Place the LCD screen face-down and now you can see the whole back of the screen. You will also see the LED connection and cable. This area must be handled with care as damaging the cable will require you to replace it with a new one.

At the LED connection area peel up the clear tape holding down the screen cable connection as shown in the image.

After peeling the clear tape diconnect the cable carefully. Be careful not to pull too hard.

Congratulations! The screen removal process is complete. Go through the process in reverse order to fit a new screen.

If you are not comfortable with this replacement I suggest considering a laptop screen repair service or take the laptop to your nearest laptop repair shop and have them fit the screen for you.

Good luck!

  20. Unquestionably believe that which you said. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the web the easiest
thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while people think about worries
that they plainly don't know about. You managed to hit the nail upon
the top and also defined out the whole thing without
having side-effects , people can take a signal.
Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
